Jaque Jours is a Mexican illustrator and writer based in Texas. In 2023, she received a FONCA fellowship to write and illustrate her debut picture book, The Muéganos. Jaque studied Architecture & Interior Design, and she holds a Master’s Degree in Literature. Both things led her to discover her passion for painting, writing, and illustrating books. Jaque is also the poster artist for the 2026 Brooklyn Book Festival.
Adam Levy is the co-publisher of Transit Books, an independent publisher of international and American literature, and Transit Children’s Editions, its imprint for young readers. His authors have received the Nobel Prize in Literature, a National Book Critics Circle Award, and the PEN Translation Prize.
