Submissions

Our reading period is open from May 1–June 1.

This year, we're reading translations of works by authors from the Middle East and North Africa—fiction, narrative nonfiction, and essay.

To submit, please include the following:

  • Short biography of the author

  • Summary or synopsis of the book in English

  • A PDF of the original language edition

  • A sample translation of at least the first 20 pages (or full manuscript, if available)

  • Availability of rights, if known

  • List of previous works you’ve published/translated if applicable

Please note we are not currently considering poetry.
