Join us for our biggest party of the year!
It's Transit's 10th anniversary as a nonprofit publisher of award-winning literature from around the world, and we want to celebrate this major milestone with you.
Our anniversary coincides with our publication of The Very Fine Clock, written by Muriel Spark and illustrated by Edward Gorey. We wanted to mark this special occasion with Gorey-themed dress wear—this can mean Edwardian costume, fur coats, top hats, fascinators, or just something that's been calling in your closet that you haven't had the chance to wear out yet. Our friends at Cellarmaker will be providing their delicious pizza made in-house and free drink tickets for their wine and craft beer.
Help us secure our next 10 years as a Bay Area literary institution, eat and drink among friends, and get ready for Gorey tarot readings, a book apothecary, a prize for best costume, and more!
If you're unable to make it but would still like to donate, you can do so here. You can also purchase an Our Very Fine Friends ticket, and we'll mail you a limited-edition Gorey tote.
For more info on event sponsorships, in-kind donations, and additional giving options, contact Ashley Nelson Levy at ashley@transitbooks.org.
Tickets are nonrefundable and seats are limited—thank you for supporting us. <3
